MEET
Cale and Lexi
Downtown Frederick Engagement shoot.
We all know that wedding season is all about the bride. Let me tell you, Lexi does not disappoint. She is so easy to celebrate. She is kind, patient, caring and quick to say yes to any adventure. I think the first time I met Lexi was at a camp in Virginia that specialized in bringing kids with disabilities to a loving new christian environment. You read that right. Lexi takes time out of her very busy life to volunteer with teenagers. And volunteer is understating it- she is friends, works with, move mountains, a voice for people who have special needs. It is people like Lexi who are progressing society to learn to move towards the inclusion mindset. Honestly, I am thankful to be friends with someone who laughs easy, who loves people fiercely and embodies what it means to become friends with everyone she meets. Cale knocked it out of the park with her. I am so grateful to have been able to watch their story unfold together.
Cale- I have known since he was a high schooler at Oakdale High School. I can easily say he is one of my husband and I’s top 5 favorite people we have been privileged to meet through Young Life. If I had to some up Cale in one word it would be: humble. He is quick to see the best in people. He is the first to rally. He cares deeply and thinks with great intention. I am thankful to know him, to share dinners with him, to have my kids look up to him. It is a gift. These people are something close to me- and to document their engagement pictures is a privilege. We chose locations like downtown Frederick and close to the western Maryland mountains because it is a part of their relationship. They have also loved hiking together. They’re also making a point to be downtown next year, close to their church in a place where they can open their home up and fill it with people they love.
